Web Store
Web Store -- allows users to search information from the Web, office documents,
and messages and back office documents. The sharp end of any retail E-Commerce
operation is the Web store. There are so many options available that selecting
the best option for your business can be very difficult. Web Store for a small
business now appreciates that selling on the Web isn’t as difficult or dangerous
as they might have thought two or three years ago. However building an
E-Commerce site is still a problem - there are so many options to consider. By
far the best solution is to hire a consultant or Web-designer to develop Web
Store to do the job for you, but unfortunately this is beyond the budget of many
small businesses.
Web Store is the conclusion of online shopping applications. It merges both the
Electronic Outlet HTML and Database versions and adds all new routines for error
handling, order processing, encrypted mailing, frames, JavaScript and VBscript
and other goodies. A few Web Store giving approximate 10% discount on all
$100.00 purchases. So, if you place an order for $100.00 regardless of the card
types you are ordering, your credit card will be charged only $90.00. First time
buyers can’t get this discount in the Web Store as the maximum order amount for
the first time buyers is $20.00. If you are the first time buyer and want to
place order larger then $20.00,
In a good Web Store you can select the companies in whose products you are
interested. You can find there a number of output pages containing 10 products
each. Each product is identified by a small picture, Product Name, Product ID,
Manufacturer, Category, Description and Price. There is a box for the quantity
and an order button as well. To view a large picture of the product plus all
other identifiers mentioned above, click on the small product picture.
Microsoft says the next version of Exchange, code-named Platinum, will deliver
on these promises by creating a single Web Store. This brings together the Web,
the file system, and the collaboration server in a single place for storing
information and deploying applications. Platinum will include built-in content
indexing and search capabilities, making documents in the Web Store, says
Microsoft.
Other features of Web Store are support for native Web content; accessibility to
all information using common URLs (uniform resource locators); and consistent
access via Outlook, any e-mail client, the Windows Explorer and any browser.
This online service combines features of Web Store and auction. Sellers and
buyers are registered there. Sellers can list their goodies under different
categories, and buyers can choose products and then offer the price they agree
to pay. Then, seller can negotiate back with buyer on the price, and, when
agreement is achieved on the price, they can make a deal. Buyers and sellers are
tracking their invoices. Buyers then can rate sellers on service quality.
For example, Yahoo! Web Store has been around for ages (well in Internet time
anyway). Yahoo! Web Store is an integrated Web-based service. It is robust, easy
to use, and can produce quality E-Commerce Web sites. A whole industry has
evolved around producing and customizing Yahoo! Web Store, so if you get into
difficulties it should be easy to find help. This should be one of the first
sites to look at if you've never built a Web Store before. The downside (and
there has to be one) is that it is relatively expensive.
