An Absolutely Killer Sales LetterI've been attempting to write
sales letters for years. I have a product that I sell to building
contractors that has been doing ok sales wise. I tried pay per click on
Google, but wasn't generating enough sales to justify the expense. My sales
letter wasn't converting enough clicks to sales.
I was spending $350 on clicks to sell a $300 product. I couldn't make up
for it in volume!
A friend turned me on to the information I'm going to share with you in a
moment.
First, let me tell you how my results changed. Before this I was getting
about 1 out of 350 visitors to my order page. Now I get 1 out of 50 to my
order page... a 700% improvement! And, I'm still working on the page
to improve it with another tool that I'll tell you about shortly.

If you've been in marketing for any time at all you know that testing is
the essence of marketing. You know that you have to test everything from the
headline, to the font you use, to the color of the background, to your
offer. Everything needs to be tested.
The most successful marketers and sale letter writers test, test, and
test some more. They're always looking for the edge that will improve their
sales. Even the most subtle changes can make a substantial difference.
The problem with testing is that it's a pain in the neck! You can
only test one thing at at time and you have to get a significant number of
results for each change to determine what works best. Is it headline A or
headline B? Is it yellow background or white background? Is it Courier font
or Verdana? There's a new way of testing called Taguchi that allows you to
test multiple variables in your sales letter simultaneously to determine
what works best. I've looked at the three tools that are available as I
write this and I think
this one is the best.
Let me tell you why I prefer this one. Frankly, it's not as easy as
this one, but I
believe it gives you more control over your sales letters. Because you
generate individual sales letters you have more control over, for example,
background colors, adding pictures and multi-page sales letters.
There's an online program that illustrates which variable values go in
which sales letter. You can test either 7 variables, which generates 8
different sales pages, or 11 variables which generates 12 different sales
pages. It will take you some time to develop your sales pages. That's one of
the drawbacks of this method. On the other hand, you have much more control
of the message.

about it here. The other one allows you to add multiple variables to
your sales letter and enter different values for each of the variables. For
example, one of the variable might be the headline another could be the
price. All the variables are done on one page. They include a desktop
program for non-html literate people to add the variables and they have a
video tutorial. They generate your page automatically and track your test
values. It does require some knowledge of working on your web site, like
copying files and setting up a database. They have instructions for setting
it up. It works well and as I stated before it doesn't have the flexibility
that I like to have. You can
