eCommerce and Business Automation

eCommerce covers a broad expanse of business. As a matter of fact, it really covers all forms of money changing hands on electronically.  Typically, we think of it as going through the internet, but that's not necessarily true. It's much more true than it was 5 years ago, but there is still information and money changing hands electronically that doesn't involve the Internet.

All that said, let's look at eCommerce from the perspective of selling products or services through the Internet.  It's much more that just the sales process, getting names and addresses, credit cards, etc.

eCommerce also includes delivery of electronic products,
setting up the shipping for physical products, setting up email sequences to keep in touch with your prospects or customers, online banking, and much more.

Virtually everything you do on the Internet is a form of eCommerce.
