Internet Marketing Affiliate Program
Vital Role of Affiliate program
Internet Marketing Affiliate Program plays a very vital role in Internet
Marketing. Affiliate Program may seem an easy way to sell. The problem is, most
people focus on a one shot sale. They spend all their time chasing new
customers, trying to sell them, and then forgetting about them. Without a good
sales process and target marketing, sales will not be high. Without generating
traffic to your site, you will not sell at all. If you do not follow up with
your regular customers who have bought, you are wasting your time and money.
In Internet Marketing Affiliate Program if you are selling other people's
products, you have to live with whatever commission they have assigned to you.
If you own your own product, no one can tell you how much you deserve to make
from it. So, if you own your product, you can be the person who sets up the
affiliate program instead of just being an affiliate member. As a product owner
on the Internet, you can leverage the work of thousands of marketers who will
gladly and actively promote your products for you. So it’s better to create your
own affiliate program than to join any.
In Internet Marketing Affiliate Program you can create your own affiliate
program, own web URL or affiliate web address that you can begin to promote,
link into your existing web site and advertise anywhere on the internet. While
the Web increases your market, it also increases the competition and you need
Internet Marketing Affiliate Program. Trying to be all things to all people, you
appeal little to any single individual. Rather, narrowly center on a specific
theme. Suggest niche marketing, breaking general sites into several target
sites.
For example, Amazon.com is the leader in Internet Marketing Affiliate Program,
which is surprising. Books are often sold for less than $20. At best, you are
working for tips like a waiter, at $3.50 a pop. Unfortunately, if you do not
have a busy restaurant, this deal will yield little or nothing. Let's say you
want to make $1,000 a month; you would have to sell 286 books to reach your
goal. That is a huge volume.
Many Internet Marketing Affiliate Program put up banner ads; the visitor simply
clicks on the banner ad and goes to the company's web site to make the buying
decision. The problem with banner ads is that 1-2% of people will actually click
on them; so if you generated 1,000 visitors in a month, only 10-20 will even
click on the banner ad. If you even convert 30 of those to sales, you will make
only one or two sales a month.
Believe it or not, it takes the same effort to market the cheaper book as the
more expensive one. Do your math and see which products sell the best, and
remember to lead with an entry product that is not too expensive, and follow up
with the more expensive products later, after you have built up the trust and
name recognition needed for a more expensive purchase.
Internet Marketing Affiliate Program is all a game of numbers; if you have a
site with great traffic, this can change. But volume businesses are difficult to
profit from; the bottom line is, do more than just put a banner up at your site.
These are tips, secrets and methods that real Internet marketers are using but
never talk about! There are hundreds of tips and tricks.
The important point is simply this: Those who are succeeding online do so
because they use the right tools and, in most cases, don't pay a cent for them!
After all, the less money you spend, the more you get to keep! Once you
understand that there is a huge difference between what someone tells you to do
and what they really do to succeed you'll understand, finally, what it really
takes to start succeeding online. But undoubtedly Internet Marketing Affiliate
Program are very helpful and you should learn how to use them as mighty tools to
fetch huge profits.
Basically, there are two ways you can set up an affiliate program, Pay Per Click
and Pay Per Purchase. Pay per click is identical to the search engine and
newsletter advertising we talked about earlier. For each person that clicks on
the link for your affiliate's site, you pay some fee or amount. Pay per purchase
means that you only pay when someone purchases something from you. In my mind,
this is the best option, because you pay only for results. The other side of the
coin on the option is that you have to demonstrate to your affiliates that
you're converting the prospects they send you into sales. What good does it do
me as an affiliate of yours if I send you 100 or 200 prospects and none of them
are converted to sales? It's not a good thing.
There are a number of ways of developing an affiliate program. The methods are
similar to those for link exchanges. The only difference is that instead of
exchanging links, you are paying for links in one direction... to you. One of
the crucial factors in your affiliate program is: how much are you going to pay?
If you selling software, Ebooks, and other products that have a zero production
cost, a percentage of the selling price is normally paid. Typically, it runs
from 30% to 50% of gross sales.
If you're selling a product that has cost involved, the percentage is lower and
depends on your gross margin. If you buy a product for $1 and sell it for $2
your margin is 50%. Depending on your circumstances, you can offer 10% to 20% of
gross sales to your affiliates. If your margins are smaller than that, you may
want to reconsider your pricing or your products.
If you decide to set up an affiliate program, you need to have a way to track
results. You want to know which affiliates sent you how much traffic and how
many sales. You need to identify which sales came from which affiliate. That's
how they get paid. Affiliates need a way to sign up for the program and a way to
review their results.
In most cases, it's important to have independent tracking of your affiliates'
results. That way, your affiliates can feel comfortable that you aren't
modifying the results. One of eCOMpal's optional services is affiliate
tracking. You can find out more here www.eCOMpal.com/affiliatetracking.htm.
